Look for a Corpse Part in a server with at least three players, then follow its loud spawn sound, yellow beam, and sphere of light. Picking it up starts a merging process; you must retain it while periodic pulses give you a chance to obtain a Stand. Being knocked or having the body part containing it broken or dismembered can interrupt that attempt and knock the part out of you.

This guide follows active official Trello cards reviewed on October 15, 2026. It explains the documented signals, possession risks, and special Tusk and D4C routes. The suggested decisions are planning advice based on those cards, rather than a live server test or a promise of a fixed farming time.

01

Check the server condition before waiting

The Corpse Parts card says spawns become possible with three or more players in a server. It describes an increasing spawn chance as the player count rises. This is a chance-based system, so meeting the minimum does not mean a part must appear immediately or after a personally predictable wait.

Choose the population tradeoff deliberately. A busier server has a higher documented spawn chance, but the spawn announcement is also visible to everyone there. The second point follows from the server-wide announcement system and is a reason to prepare for competition, rather than a measured claim about how often another player will contest you.

Before waiting, decide whether your objective is any eligible Stand or a specific exception such as Tusk. An ordinary Stand attempt and a prepared D4C attempt do not have the same requirements. Use the Stand guide to check your target before treating every part as interchangeable.

02

Follow the spawn signals while they are visible

A spawn produces a loud sound across the map, a yellow beam, and a sphere of light. The card says the beam disappears after 30 seconds. That timer describes the visible beam, so its disappearance alone should not be treated as a documented statement that the part has been deleted or merged.

Use the beam as an immediate orientation aid and the server announcement as a state update. If another player takes the part while you travel, the event has changed even if you remember where the beam appeared. Recheck the messages instead of following a stale visual cue without considering its current possession state.

The current card does not provide a guaranteed permanent spawn coordinate. The official map card provides a labeled map for general orientation, and our map guide connects its hubs and services. A map helps you recognize the area you are crossing; it does not turn a chance-based part spawn into a guaranteed location schedule.

03

Read the server-wide state changes

The documented announcement states are Spawn, Taken, Lost, and Merged. They describe different stages of a part's existence and possession. The responses below are suggested ways to use that information, rather than additional hidden game rules.

Announced stateUseful response
SpawnOrient toward the fresh sound and visible light
TakenRecognize that someone is now carrying the part
LostReassess possession instead of assuming the same holder still has it
MergedStop treating that completed part as an available pickup

Keep the latest relevant message in mind while moving. Hearing a spawn sound earlier does not establish that the part is still waiting untouched. Likewise, reaching its original location after a Taken message is not equivalent to reaching an unclaimed reward.

The highlighted holder can also provide information during the attempt. The source describes a periodic yellow outline visible through walls, rather than permanent stealth. That visibility is part of the possession risk and should shape your decision about whether you are ready to pick up the part.

04

Keep possession through the merging process

After grabbing a part, you hold it while it pulses and attempts to merge. The current card describes an increasing chance with successive pulses, rather than instant guaranteed absorption on pickup. This guide leaves out numeric merge odds because a copied older cap would misrepresent the current documented mechanic.

The main interruption risks are explicit: getting knocked, or having the body part containing the Corpse Part broken or dismembered. A pickup therefore does not finish the task that earned the opportunity. Think about your movement and nearby threats before collecting it, since those risks continue during the merging period.

The card says Corpse Parts extinguish nearby fires from dynamite and Molotovs. That is a specific environmental interaction, rather than a description of immunity to every weapon or attack. Do not base an entire survival plan on the assumption that removing nearby fire makes the holder safe.

Avoid planning around uncertain movement restrictions as though they were stable protection rules. The current source strikes through its statement about vampires losing bat swarm, wall hops, and double jump while fusing, and labels the behavior bugged. Consult the vampire guide for that alignment's documented progression without assuming this crossed-out restriction is consistently enforced.

05

Use the required part for Tusk or D4C

The Stand information card says Tusk is only obtainable through a chance while fusing with a Saint's Left Arm. That makes the part's identity material when Tusk is your objective. It also means an ordinary Arrow Shard is not an alternative way to force a Tusk roll.

D4C begins with a sacrifice at the pit in Sandtown. The listed alternatives are five Dogbanes, three Rokas, or one Arrow Shard plus one Roka or Dogbane. After that preparation, the card says the next Corpse Part to spawn will be a Saint's Heart.

The D4C instructions list being Standless and having at least 125 career kills to begin merging with the Heart. They additionally require a current killstreak of 15 for the D4C acquisition chance. Keep that separate from other quest requirements that refer to your highest historical killstreak.

The Heart route does not guarantee D4C. The card says unmet requirements or an unsuccessful D4C outcome can result in another Rare or Default Stand. Check the conditions before spending the sacrifice, rather than treating the preparation cost as the purchase price of a guaranteed Stand.

06

Compare the alternative before another hunt

If your goal is an ordinary eligible Stand, an Arrow Shard offers another route. Its official card guarantees a Stand while preserving exceptions for unobtainable Stands and those with special methods. It cannot be used if you already possess a Stand, so the current state of your character still matters.

Arrow Shards can be banked and are not lost on normal death or leaving, according to that card. Those storage rules are useful when choosing whether to save an acquired shard while considering another Corpse Part attempt. See the Arrow Shard guide for the separate character-wipe boundary and documented reward sources.

End an unsuccessful attempt by identifying which stage failed: no spawn, missed location, lost possession, or a result that did not match a special target. Those are different problems and suggest different next actions. Return to the beginner guide if equipment and travel are the obstacle, or review the exact special-route requirements before repeating a costly sacrifice.
