Unlock Spin by completing Gyro's Road To Spin requirements and paying 25,000 Moola. The route includes an actively sparking miracle, age and combat prerequisites, Tusk Acts 1–3 or 16 Fight Club wins, and the Duelist's Mark. Spin replaces both gun slots while preserving your Stand, so check the full route and equipment change before saving for the final payment.
This guide follows the active official Trello cards reviewed on October 15, 2026. It separates acquisition requirements from the documented controls, charge system, and reset consequences. The route and combat descriptions are source-based rather than a live gameplay test or a promise that a specific build wins every fight.
01
Check age and combat requirements first
The Road To Spin card says Gyro will not start the questline if you are above 40 years old. It also requires the character to be Battle Hardened, defined there as at least 125 kills, Tier 3, and a highest killstreak of 15 or more. Check all three combat conditions instead of treating the kill total as the complete requirement.
The killstreak wording is highest killstreak, which matters when reading guides for other supernatural unlocks. Do not substitute a requirement from a different quest merely because it also mentions 15 kills. Your acquisition plan should follow Gyro's own current card and the actual conditions shown by his dialogue.
If age blocks the route, the Mud Witches Hut card documents a Dogbane Herb option that decreases age by 20 years. That is one listed choice among several services, rather than an automatic effect of every conversation with her. Read the selected option carefully, because her Stand and specialty resets have different consequences.
02
Witness the miracle and locate Gyro
The first requirement is to witness a miracle by resonating with Spin activity around the map. The quest card specifically says the activity must be actively sparking. Merely reaching a location seen in an old screenshot does not establish that this condition has been met.
Afterward, speak with Gyro to initiate the questline. The card describes possible locations around the map, particularly behind trees in the forest or swamp. Use the map guide for orientation, but avoid treating that broad description as a single permanent coordinate.
The Gyro NPC card says only one Gyro can exist in a server at once. His spawning is associated with a server-wide message and periodic checks, and he despawns five minutes after appearing before alternating locations. A message is therefore a reason to begin searching promptly, rather than evidence that he will remain available indefinitely.
Prepare your prerequisite checks and payment plan before spending a session looking for him. Finding Gyro does not bypass age or Battle Hardened requirements, and completing one step does not mean every later requirement is done. When his dialogue rejects progress, identify the missing condition before restarting the entire route.
03
Complete the knuckles and Duelist steps
For the third requirement, the card gives two alternatives: possess Tusk Act 1, 2, or 3, or have at least 16 Fight Club wins. Speak with Gyro again after meeting the relevant condition. This alternative means the quest should not be described as requiring both Tusk and the Fight Club win count.
If you already have one of those Tusk acts, check that route before committing to additional Fight Club wins. If you do not, the documented Fight Club option provides a separate way to satisfy this stage. The Stand guide explains why Tusk itself has a special acquisition method rather than being an ordinary Arrow Shard result.
The fourth requirement is obtaining the Duelist's Mark by defeating the Duelist NPC in a rare encounter. The source identifies the required opponent and reward but does not provide a guaranteed encounter timetable. Keep that uncertainty separate from Gyro's own appearance pattern when deciding which part of the quest is currently blocking you.
When all requirements are complete, return to Gyro and pay 25,000 Moola. Use the money guide to plan documented earning activities if you are short. That payment is the final acquisition cost, rather than proof that money alone can purchase Spin without the questline.
04
Understand what Spin replaces
The Spin card says the specialty replaces both primary and secondary guns. It explicitly preserves your Stand, so choosing Spin does not inherently require becoming Standless. Compare that equipment change against your weapons setup before assuming Spin is a small addition to an unchanged gun loadout.
The dedicated Spin card marks the interaction with the Stand ranged-damage penalty as disabled. General Stand documentation contains broader wording about that penalty, so this guide follows the specific Spin entry for this interaction. It does not apply a universal Stand damage reduction to every Steel Ball throw or invent a combined damage formula.
Spin also has charge-dependent physical and defensive benefits. Its card lists 15% damage reduction and 15% increased walking speed while charged, with limb breaking depending on charge. Those documented bonuses do not replace the need to manage a bar that passively drains.
05
Learn the charge and throw controls
Use the controls below as the documented PC reference from the Spin card. Several keys change function with equipment context, especially F. Check the controls guide and your current equipment state before treating a familiar key as an identical action across every system.
| Input | Documented Spin action |
|---|---|
| Left mouse button | Throw the right Steel Ball |
| Right mouse button | Throw the left Steel Ball |
| Z | Charge the Spin bar |
| E and R | Cycle throw modes |
| T | Drop both Steel Balls together |
| F | Tonic Guard, requiring a tonic bottle and charge |
Ordinary left and right throws have no documented cooldown but consume charge. Z has a one-second cooldown, while dropping both balls with T has a 20-second cooldown. Learning the relationship between charge and throws is therefore more useful than assuming the absence of a throw cooldown means unlimited full-strength attacks.
Repeated charging trains Spin, reducing consumption and increasing charge speed according to the card. The quest entry also describes enhanced throws using less bar as mastery improves. Begin by learning one throw mode and watching your charge, rather than changing several modes without knowing which action used the resource.
06
Choose a pitch for the situation
Straight pitch travels outward before turning back toward your character. Curving pitch has shorter range and bends horizontally, with right-hand throws curving left and left-hand throws curving right. Ricocheting pitch rebounds before returning, while Drilling pitch follows a helix and can spin or ragdoll an opponent on impact.
Spiraling pitch creates a small orbiting area capable of repeated hits. The card associates Scan style with possessing Ball Breaker and describes its scanning and weak-point effects. Seeing a mode name in the general list should therefore not be taken as proof that every newly acquired Spin character has its additional unlock.
Horseback use changes several documented Spin mechanics, including stronger pitch behavior and passive charging while riding at high speeds. The card also describes Tonic Guard as a liquid shield that affects nearby opponents and incoming projectiles. Read the horse guide if mounted combat is your next goal, without assuming a fixed horse or pitch is objectively best.
07
Read reset consequences before removing Spin
The Mud Witch can wipe your specialty when you offer a Dogbane Herb and choose that service. Her card states that this also wipes the specialty's EXP, Tier, and Mastery. Removing Spin is therefore a progression reset, rather than simply swapping temporarily to a gun.
The Spin card says obtaining it again requires another 25,000 Moola payment. Keep that cost separate from the mastery you lose when removing it. If you only want to learn a different throw style, review the existing controls before using a reset option that erases training progress.
